Countering Headwinds with Creativity

In addition to the global turmoil caused by COVID-19, Russia's invasion of Ukraine has created an unprecedented level of uncertainty in the global economy.

Rising resource prices, supply chain fragmentation and climate change issues are just a few of the growing challenges that companies must overcome.

What strategies should companies develop and implement in order to compete and grow amid these difficult and unpredictable conditions?

Prominent business leaders active on the front lines of their respective industries will share their thoughts and engage in heated discussions.

About

Held every year in the fall, the Nikkei Global Management Forum is the most prestigious event organized by Nikkei Inc. Famous executives from around the world gather for two days to discuss critical issues while offering their own insight.

Since the first forum held in 1999, Nikkei Global Management Forum was attended by Jack Welch, Chairman and CEO of General Electric; Fujio Mitarai, President and CEO of Canon; Eric Schmidt, Chairman and CEO of Google; and Jack Ma, Chairman and CEO of Alibaba Group and many other global business leaders.

The last event (2021) was the first time since the coronavirus disaster that paid attendees were invited to the venue. Overseas lecturers, including Colin Angle, chairman of iRobot Corp., and Shantanu Narayan, Chairman of Adobe, participated online, while domestic lecturers, including Kentaro Oyama, chairman of Iris Group, and Tomoko Namba, chairman of DeNA, took the stage.
