Vice President of Marketing
DJI

Born in 1982

Danny Zheng joined DJI in 2013. He has established global offices, recruited and trained marketing personnel, and grown the marketing team from a handful to well over 100. He is a key member in developing marketing strategies that have led to DJI’s triple-digit annual growth, international expansion, and leading position in the consumer UAV industry.

Today DJI is the largest consumer drone maker in the world, commanding 70% of the global market. DJI products are sold in over 100 countries and have found applications in countless industries, including filmmaking, photography, sports, agriculture, search and rescue, archaeology, real estate, news broadcasting, education, and more.

Mr. Zheng started his career as a diplomat, where he advised governments extensively on economic cooperation and cultural exchange. He has organized a number of international conferences, received many state leaders, and given inspiring speeches at some of the most distinguished institutions around the world.

Driven by his creativity, Mr. Zheng later ventured into the advertising industry. In just four years, he rose to become a creative director in one of the largest advertising agencies in the world, and his brilliant ideas garnered him over 50 world-class advertising awards, including the Cannes Lions, London International Advertising Awards, New York International Advertising Awards, Effie Awards, and Asia Pacific Advertising Awards, all while serving top brands in technology, luxury, fashion, automobiles, internet, and banking.

Prior to joining DJI, Mr. Zheng was global marketing director at a Swiss FMCG company. He was responsible for the most robust growth in the history of the company, despite severe competition in the industry. He developed new best-selling products, opened up new offices in Europe and Asia, and executed some of the most creative marketing campaigns the FMCG industry has seen.

At the age of 33, Mr. Zheng has traveled to 75 countries around the world and is an expert on international communication and business development.
